Recently, on August 23-25, Vietfish 2023 – Vietnam's largest seafood fair was held at SECC - Saigon Exhibition and Convention Center with a monumental and professional scale with the international level.
This event gathered 220 exhibitors, more than 420 booths from 14 countries and territories including: China, USA, Japan, Korea, India, Singapore, Thailand, Malaysia, Philippines, Myanmar, Belgium, Australia and Netherland. According to the statistics, the number of visitors reached nearly 12,000 people come from more than 50 countries, increase more than 14% compared to last year.
As the 3rd biggest seafood exporter in the world, this is the most grand event of Vietnam’s seafood industry organzied annually by the Vietnam Association of Seafood Exporters and Processors (VASEP) to introduce, honour the values and achievements that Vietnam’s seafood industry achieved during the past 2 decades as well as affirmed its position in the international arena. If at the peak period of the seafood export industry, Vietfish 2018 and 2019 were considered a lever to help Vietnam “take advantage of the victory”, Vietfish 2023 was taken place in the context of declining export turnover of the whole industry and the global economy is facing many challenges after Covid 19 epidemic, which was considered as a motivation and a place for domestic and foreign enterprises to seek opportunities in a series of difficulties and challenges.
